BIO 232 - Plant Science

Prerequisite(s): BIO 112
This course explores the structure and function of land plants, especially seed plants. Special emphasis on diversity of plant form, including development, embryogenic, meristematic growth, and structural and functional interrelations of plant organs. Also, introduction to plant hormones, photosynthesis, aspects of genetic engineering and biotechnology. Three hours of lecture per week. One three-hour laboratory per week (BIL 232).
