CHE 360 - Air Quality 4 Semester Hour(s)
Prerequisite(s): CHE 116 , CHE 118 and MAT 221 or PHY 111 Air quality and air pollution have significant effects on human health and the environment, through interrelated problems of ozone and particulate matter air pollution, acid rain, visibility degradation, mercury, stratospheric ozone depletion, and climate change. This course provides students with a comprehensive overview and understanding of atmospheric chemistry and its effects on public health and the environment, and the regulatory and technological management practices employed in achieving air quality goals. Offered every fall. Three hours of lecture per week. One credit hour of lab per week.
