ENG 334 - Mythology

Prerequisite(s): ENG 101 and ENG 102 or ENG 103 and ENG 104 and ENG 201 or ENG 205.
This course studies mythology and readings, such as Joseph Campbell and Edith Hamilton, to introduce the world of Greek and Roman mythology. Readings from several Greek playwrights display how classical mythology appears in literary works. Class discussions cover how mythology is not merely an ancient, outmoded concept, but one which operates in society.
