COJ 111 - Advanced Journalism

Prerequisite(s): ENG 101, ENG 102, COM 101, COM 111, & COM 112.
This course is designed to give students experience in newspaper writing and other print media news-gathering projects. The course will prepare students to think critically and act professionally. Students will strengthen writing, reporting, and multimedia journalistic skills while learning to ethically and effectively tell stories that have the potential to change the world. Students will research and generate data, anecdotes, and character details to tel! compelling stories, interview people, structure news stories, and consider news sources & design newspaper publications.
