ECD 587 - Capstone Project Research I

Prerequisite(s): EDU 504 - Research, Design, and Evaluation in Education  and EDU 585 - Advanced Data Analysis and Statistics  or concurrent consent of the instructor and advisor (EDU 585  ONLY)
This course will serve as a continuation from EDU 504 - Research, Design, and Evaluation in Education . By the end of ECD 587, students should have all of the necessary components of a completed capstone research project. The Capstone Project Research course is an independent study designed for Master of Arts in Child Development students to demonstrate their ability, professional growth and scholarship. While working one-on-one with their committee chair, students will pursue individual research questions about learning, curriculum, educational history, and related issues. Students will present their capstone project research paper in a public format at the end of the semester. This course will be taken in the final term of a student’s MACD program.
