CAR 204 - Video Discourse

Prerequisite(s): ENG 101 , ENG 102 , COM 101, COM 111, COM 112, CAR 221, CAR 202, & CAR 203
An engaging discourse/praxis-based course exploring the role of cell phone videos, music videos, and art-based videos as a tool in the formation of contemporary global democracies. Students are exposed to how social movements; artists and the quotidian citizenry employ videos to address injustices. Students are charged within this course to work collaboratively in the creation of a series of video shorts that address change within their environments.
